I learned how to enhance my math lessons with the use of excel and Kidspiration. I will definitely use the Kidspiration activities with my class. Thank you, Betty and Jeremy, for an informative morning!

I found many ideas for math instructional tools and review activities.

I want to use Excel more in the classroom and to show kids how to use it. It has many helpful tools that they can use.

I learned how to use Kidspiration worksheets and to make up my own. The pages on fractions looked like they will help kids “see” equivalent freactions.

1. I learned a lot today… How to be more proficient using Excel, how to use Kidspiration.

2. I definitely will use Kispiration for demonstration purposes. Excel will be useful for many things… graphs, calculating, using formulas, etc.

3. I’m the type of person who needs to have a lot of hands on work. More workshop time using the programs is a must for me.

I learned that Betty has been busy trying to get us to use technology in math. There are a lot of resources for us to use that will help our children in the classroom and at home.

I will try to use the excel program to help my students understand decimals, fractions and percents.

I would like Betty to have a follow up session with us to answer any questions that we might come up with.

This workshop was great – Betty and Jeremy are outstanding presenters!

I made considerable progress in understanding some elements of EXCEL that I could not use easily before.

Kidspiration info was great – I did not know much about this resource until this session. The visual nature of the math may help many of our students.

I hope to be able to assist teachers and students in using these resources during this year.

i learned how to use several coding items in Excel that i will implement into a lesson that i used last year. i will use inspiration with my geometry scavenger hunt project. I like the newly revamped resource page – will start looking @ it today. i would like to utilize podcasts with my class – so i need assistance with that.

I learned more about Excel, for example working with the cells and formulas! I learned about the NEW Kidspiration. I also learned more about the resources available to teachers. I will definitely use Kidspiration for teaching fractions and integers. I will also use Excel more to model working with data! Thanks!

I learned how to incorporate excel and kidspiration into modeling various math skills and also how students can use these tools to improve their math skills. I will definitely use kidspiration when working with fractions and shapes. This was a very informative workshop.

1. I learned a lot today. I learned about delicious, and kidspiration.

2. I will try Kidspiration with my students. I will conciously try to use it more this year.

3. I have a suggestion for a half day , articulation day: I think EVERYBODY should be sitting at THEIR computer and take the two hours to explore sites. A suggested list should be given by the technology team for each subject area. There are so many cool things on the computer but very few people take time to explore them. With the time and comfort of tech support ‘roaming around’, people may find new teaching tools!
